The additional gallonage rate will remain at $4.00 per each 1,000 gallons used. The changes will be reflected on the September 2012 billing. Filtration Debt Service: The $19.00 per EDU debt service will no longer be assessed as of July 1, 2012. Pets: Boonsboro has an Animal Control Ordinance, which is enforced by WashingtonCounty via the animal control authority (Washington County SPCA). If you have major problems with dogs: (1) running loose, damaging, soiling or defecating on private property; (2) barking excessively or howling so as to disturb the neighboring area; (3) acting aggressively to other animals or humans; or (4) living in unsanitary or dangerous conditions - contact the SPCA immediately at 301-733-2060.
In Boonsboro, dogs are to be leashed at all times when not on the owner’s property. Dogs are not permitted in ShaferPark. Also, in effect is a pooper-scooper law, which means you are expected to clean up after your pet. The easiest way to do this is to carry a small plastic bag that can be used as a ‘glove’ to pick up after your dog.
