‒Future Work Skills is a document from the Institute for the Future. Here’s a one-page visual summary of this fascinating projection. One of the authors of this document, Devin Fidler, spoke at the eXtension conference on October 3rd on reimagining the future of higher education.
‒Broadband: Creating Educational Opportunities across Michiganis a report from Connect Michigan on the expanding use of broadband internet for education in Michigan. One of their significant findings is that African Americans are using the internet for education far more than any other demographic group. ‒50 Excellent Open Courses on Teaching With Technologyis a listing of 50 free online courses that are offered on a wide variety of instructional technology topics. The courses are free, self-directed, and accessible over the internet. The list was shared by Amy Hayes, Emerging Technologies Program Specialist at Texas A&M.

‒Events Management System in-person trainings offered in November and December in Battle Creek, Grand Rapids, Harrison, and Port Huron and on campus. Attendees will get a refresher on how to build an event in the system as well as learn how to develop an event budget, manage an event from start to finish and discover the value of templates.
