After throwing away three points in the last home game against lowly Cartagena
FC UCAM it was another nail biting performance against bottom of the league
AD Alquerias last Sunday.
Fortunately goals from Mauro and Dani Morales gave us the three points after
Alquerias had taken the lead two minutes before half time. It was Mauro's sixth
goal in six games since joining Mazarron to replace Basi and Dani continued his
impressive goal scoring run with his tenth of the season.
Unfortunately the win was marred by the sending off of Nacho for two yellow
cards and both Dani and Alfonso Canovas picked up their fifth bookings of the
season so all three will miss today's game through suspension.
After today's game Mazarron enter a spell of three extremely difficult fixtures
against promotion rivals. Next week we travel to fourth placed Nuestro Abaran
and this is followed by a home game against CD Algar and another away game at
EF Alhama. Algar are currently in sixth place and thrashed Mazarron 7-1 at their
ground earlier this season. Alhama are just outside the play-off positions and will
be going all out for the three points.
JUNIOR TEAMS
The Juveniles suffered an embarrassing 10-0 defeat away to EFB Pinatar.
The Cadetes continued their excellent form with a 4-2 away victory at Lorca CFB
The Infantils lost 3-0 away to CD Lumbreras.
Our top of the table Alevins thrashed third placed Lorca CFB "A" 6-0 at home.
The Benjamines, sponsored by Los Amigos, had a rare win, 4-2 at home to CD
Alberca.

Both the Celebrity Golf Day at the Camposol Club de Golf on Monday 26th March
and the 9th Annual Gala Evening and Dinner at the Hotel la Cumbre the following
night are fully subscribed. Many thanks to our Gala Dinner joint sponsors Ibex

Welcome to our visitors this evening UD Abanilla.
They finished twelfth in the Preferente lastseason and are occupying the
same position this season after some indifferent performances. However
they have won three of their last five games including a 3-1 home win over
CD Bullense last week. Their record is P22 W7 D3 L11 F35 A44 Pts 24.
Mazarron came out on top winning 5-2 in Abanilla earlier this season with
goals from Basi (2) Gato, Fran Costa and Dani Morales.
Last season Mazarron did the double over Abanilla winning 3-0 at home
with goals from Andreo, Jimmy and Jose and 2-1 away with Miguel and
Dani Morillas on the scoresheet

. COACH TRAVEL
Los Amigos de Mazarron FC organise coach travel to virtually all away games. Prices this season are 10€ for members and 12€ for non-members. Coach departure times are announced as soon as we know the date and kick off time. The next away game is at Nuestro Abaran scheduled for the weekend of 24th/25th February.
Abaran play at the Campo de Futbol Las Colonias in Abaran which is about 85 kilometres from Camposol and the coach journey should take just over an hour. There is plenty of comfortable seating and the usual toilet and canteen facilities
They play in red shorts and black sorts so Mazarron will be in their white away kit.
