HI!!HAPPY 4TH WEEK OF SCHOOL!!!!!!I hope your children are getting into the habit of reading every night at home, studying their multiplication facts, and their spelling words. Please remind them to study !!! We are off to a GREAT start!!!

LOOK WHAT WE’RE STUDYING:
MATH (Mrs. Rectenwal)- Test on Topic 1: Place Value scores are in the Tuesday folder. We began Topic 2: Adding/Subtracting on Friday. We began our 4s math facts yesterday. Please remind your child to study. The 4s test is Friday. If they know their multiplication facts, all math topics will be easier.The 3s test is in the Tuesday folder.
Science (Mrs. Rectenwal)-Students should start thinking about their EGG DROP invention. The EGG DROP invention is a homework assignment. The ANNUAL 4TH GRADE EGG DROP IS FRIDAY, September 29, AT 1:30 P.M. All parents are welcome to attend. Meet us on the black top in the back of the school that day. We are also studying our Earth’s Water and the Water Cycle this week.
Spelling/Word Work /Grammar (Mrs. Noel)-SpellingTEST is Wednesday. Your child got the list from Mrs. Noel last Friday. Please remind them to study..
Writing (Mrs. Rectenwal)-We began our personal narrative unit.
Reading (Mrs. Rectenwal)-We are working on reading LOTS of just right books and finding details about characters!!! We also started finding just right books on EPIC, an app for our IPADS!! YAY!!!! YOUR CHILD’S HOMEWORK IS TO READ 30 MINUTES EVERY NIGHT AT HOME.
Social Studies (Mrs. Scott)-Students are studying the map of the U.S., and then focusing on Illinois.
