Newly Impaneled Grand Jury Hears Cases
On Thursday, January 22, 2015, the newly impaneled Grand Jury for Fannin County met for its first session. At that time, the Criminal District Attorney’s Office presented thirty-two (32) cases for their review and thirty-one (31) cases were True Billed or indicted.
It is important to note that an indictment is a formal charge and should not be considered as evidence of guilt and that all persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
