Parents,
I am very excited to be coaching your children this year. It is going to be an exciting, fun, and educational season. My goals for the season are to teach the kids the fundamentals of baseball, provide an encouraging environment, have a ton of fun, and leave the kids with a positive, memorable experience. I hope and expect that you will trust my judgement and support our team throughout the season. I fully encourage each and every one of you to get involved and help out with the team.
To provide you with some background on me, [Personalize - below is an example. Include Assistant Coaches]
I grew up in Newington – Elizabeth Green, Martin Kellogg, NHS – and am an alumnus of Newington Little League. I have deep passion and knowledge of baseball having played two years of professional baseball in the New York Mets minor league system and growing up with a dad who has been a professional baseball scout for 35 years. I currently work at Travelers as a Senior Director of Information Technology in the Personal Lines division. My wife, Jen, and I have three kids – Cooper, Gunnar, and Maya – with a 4th on the way in August.
I wanted to provide all of you with the key information that you will need to know for the season. Please use this document and others that were distributed to you as reference. I will do my best to meet you and your child’s expectations. If, at any time, you have any questions, concerns, please talk to me at a practice or game, send me an email, or call me.
