New Revolutionary Central Vacuum Appliance

Although central vacuums have been around since the late 1800’s their power has never been harnessed for use with other household appliances. The central vacuum concept consists of a tubing system extended throughout the home with a central collection system and motor located in a remote location such as the garage. The user plugs a hose and attachments into any convenient inlet location to deep clean every surface in the home.

“It’s amazing that no one has ever considered using all this suction for other purposes” states Grant Olewiler, General Manger of M.D. Manufacturing, in Bakersfield, California. But this company has done just that! They have newly introduced VacnSeal, a convenient “Food Preservation System.” This suction port gets installed underneath the upper cabinets of the kitchen. Its suction arm folds neatly away just above the counter top. Using ordinary Ziploc® Double Zipper Freezer Bags you can now safely seal all your foods for maximum sustained freshness. Simply stick the suction arm into your baggie and a gentle tug will activate the suction. Pinch the baggie closed as you remove the nozzle and the air is separated from the foods.

The VacnSeal contains a myriad of thoughtful features that promise to catapult it into becoming a necessity for every kitchen. The suction and pivot armseasily remove and are dishwasher safe. It also contains a filter in the unlikely event that the suction gets too close to the goods. The VacnSeal has an additional filter to prevent any dust back-flushing into the system. And it can be mounted sideways on the inside of a pantry door if space is unavailable above the counter tops.

While there exists a few portable food-sealing devices on the market, only the new VacnSeal mounts up under the counter in the same way a built-in electric can opener would. It also is the only appliance that can create this seal with ordinary over-the-counter baggies. And it is virtually silent as it seals! “I installed the VacnSeal in my Mother-in-Law’s home, and she uses it so often she keeps running out of Ziploc bags. She loves it!” says Dominic Bonfanti, owner of Central Vacuum Source, Baton Rouge, LA.

VacnSeal works with all central vacuum systems and is available as a retrofit kit as well. New construction installation for the VacnSeal is identical to all non-electric inlet valves. Simply install an inlet mounting plate in a location that will end up in an upper cupboard and the VacnSeal kit contains everything needed to connect up the appliance for suction. The kit even contains an adapter to tap into any existing central vacuum line.
