NEW LIFE BAPTIST CHURCH
TARIK AND PLANAS, PORAC, PAMPANGA
JULY 2016
Dear Praying Partners,
“They don’t care what we believe, until they believed that we care.” This month became a very challenging days for us as a church. We do know that God tries the heart of every member and even the pastor to stretch the faith and to teach us to walk on His will and promises as well. At this month ,we started the membership class and observation for the baptism candidates. It has also made us sad that some of the candidates were not became committed on church services, but, 7 of 9 became faithful and praying that at this month baptism will be held for them because we need to be sure about their seriousness about baptism. Teaching Aeta people is a very hard time to do due to their illiteratelifestyles, but we need to be patient and persevere.
One of the challenges that we faced this month was the spiritual fight against cults and false prophets. The place where we are having our services were filled with Satanic cults (R. Catholic ,Adventist, Jehovah’s witnesses) wherein we need to stand for the truth. And we praise God for the members who teaches and preaches against them about the truth. For this cause, our attendance grew for this month in every church meeting services! The last Sunday of this month has been full of blessings toward us for those new visitors who wants to be saved ,on each areas of Tarik and Planas(Mirna, Bernie Abad(he is not an aeta),Tony,Mike,Erica,Eric,Gary,Zaldy, Jasmine,Maricel,Orling,Roldan,Judith,Lyn,). Please pray for them, because these people need to be sure upon their decisions . Many of the Aeta people were not of their own words, keeps on promising but not doing it, please pray for these names to be serious.
As we resumed our Bible School class, we also started our new block for this month, and as I observed the students, I may say that they were slow learners, but the great thing is, they are learning! Please pray for our Bible School Students to be able to use by God someday.(Mario,Miracle,Cynthia,Jennilyn,Rico,Edu, and Janice) We don’t believe that age does matter on learning God’s word, I talked to Edu one time and asked him if he’s interested to be a missionary someday, he answered YES, then I told him that he needs to be a missionary those places near him and even in his own house. Please pray for Eduardo Gutierrez to be prepared someday on God’s calling in his life.
We also experienced rejections as the principal of the school near us didn’t allow us to teach inside the classrooms, because this school was also manipulated by Catholicism. But we didn’t give up. We still waited for the students going home and that is the moment we had to share the True Gospel of Christ! And the youth members of our church also shared and preached inside their school campus. We Praised God for the opportunity! The result is, the number of children Sunday school was increased! And continually we do these activities to reach out the lost souls .
We also had the opportunity to preach the Gospel inside the Detachment Camps of Militaries on Babo Pangulo Porac Pampanga, I visited the place once and asked for permission to preach and by God’s grace they received us to preach, 60 Aeta militaries and 60 Unat militaries. Commanding Officer Santiago allowed us to shared inside but forbidden us to take pictures for their safety, protection and privacy. Praise God ! please pray that they may continue to hear God’s word.
One of the hard thing in our church is regarding our building, this has become a real problem due to the unstable mind of the owner of the land and the Ancestral Domain that Aeta thought that we’re robbing the land . their minds were filled with such bad things due to many rich people robbing their lands. Our things needed to rebuild the hut was completed, Please pray that barangays allow us to enlarge the building in order to hold larger amount of people to listen God’s word.
We also helped people in sickness like the condition of Bro. Rodrigo Santos as he suffers to his abnormal condition of his throat. Please pray for his recovery and also to baby Maika Queddeng , a 5 month- old child who suffers on enlargement of the heart. If we are going to look and observe on their lives, the only thing that will go to our minds is that, they really need the Lord.
As we end this letter , we still thank each and everyone of you brethren who takes time to read this letter and to pray each request written there in. You are truly a blessing to us brethren, and your prayer and support will not be in vain but a huge blessing to the people in this mountainous area. I’m sorry because I wasn’t able to show you many pictures happened on us because I had a little accident last week that causes my phone to crashed and break. -Pray for school opportunities, military basement opportunity, and to have more.
-Our baptisms to be held as soon as possible this month and prove the seriousness of the candidates.
-Pray for our bible school students (Mario,Miracle,Cynthia,Jennilyn,Rico,Edu, and Janice) and to have more
-Pray for mission fields : TARIK, PLANAS, PASBUL
-Pray for more works for the Lord
-Pray for Bro. Miracle, Edu, Mario to be prepared on God’s calling in their lives someday.
