Strip cables 50% faster

New: igus chainflex cables with integrated strip tool CFRIP

On the Hannover fair 2012, igus, expert in moving cables for energy chains, presented an intelligent solution to strip large stripback lengths quickly and easily.

For this igus designers integrated a tear strip into the cable jacket. This tool simplifies the stripping back of the cables, especially for those with gusset-filled extruded jackets:

With just a few movements the outer jacket can be opened like a zipper to the desired length by simply pulling the special CFRIP tear strip. With it electrical engineers can not only save 50% of time they usually need, but also avoid the need for additional cable stripping tools. The cables are also designed in a way, that the integrated tear strip doesn't damage the outer jacket or cores - even after millions of movements in a daily operation.

The PVC control cable "chainflex CF5" (the tear strip is in the outer jacket) and the shielded version "chainflex CF6" (the tear strip is in the inner jacket) are available as of May 2012 as "CFRIP" versions.

Other types of cables are in preparation. A short clip at igus.de/de/CFRIP shows the simple cable stripping with "CFRIP".
