Well winter is here for a few more days, but spring is just around the corner. Daylight Savings is on Sunday, March 11th. This gives us all more time to play golf in the evenings now! I wanted to update you on a few things going on and to be expected for 2018.

2018 Membership Pricing – NEW COURSE!
We have added Clover Valley Golf Club to our New Era Golf family of courses. It is only $100 per member to add Clover Valley on to your Unlimited Membership. This has become a very popular Add On since it became available only 15 days ago. Visit Clover Valley’s website at
Clover Valley is in the general area of most of the 4-Course Unlimited Membership courses (12 minutes north of New Albany Links and 10 minutes east of Royal American Links). This course is just west of Johnstown. See the Map of all New Era Golf Course locations at the bottom of this email.
For those of you who have not renewed yet, you still can. We have only a limited number of memberships and with the popularity of our membership, we could be full this spring. Renewing your membership by March 31st, 2018 will guarantee that you have your 2018 membership. As a current member, you will have until your current expiration date to renew. Once your current membership expires, and we happen to be full of memberships, then there will be a wait list to get in. So please make sure you renew your membership before your expiration date.

GHIN Handicap
We are about to be in an “Active” season with GHIN Handicap. The active season runs from March 15th to November 30th. You can get your GHIN Handicap Activated by contacting the Head Golf Professional at your home course. If you are not sure of the home course that you selected, please email me and I will update you. We have all received new GHIN Handicap computers which will make updating scores easier. Once your GHIN Handicap is activated at your home course, you can then input scores from your home course, GHIN website, GHIN App, or any other GHIN handicap computer at another course. Just remember what your GHIN number is.
Please post your 9 hole & 18 hole scores after you play golf during the active season. It is very important to us all to keep a correct and active GHIN Handicap for all golfers, especially playing in member tournaments.
NEGMGA Tournament Schedule
The NEGMGA (New Era Golf Men’s Golf Association) Schedule has now been posted. Click the link below to view a list of all the events we have scheduled for the year. Sign up for these events will be at the New Era Golf Online Store. Registration will start 30 days in advance of the event. Come to the Spring Meeting @ New Albany Links on Saturday, March 24th at 10:00am.
Upcoming Events to Note:
-Saturday, March 24th: Spring Meeting @ New Albany Links. Pot Game will follow this event. (No Registration, Sign up for the Pot Game will be during the meeting)
-Friday, April 13th: Last day to sign up for the Match Play
-Saturday, April 14th: Opening Day Event @ Royal American Links. Expect a full day of fun with our Member Skill Challenge, Scramble Golf Event at 1:30pm Shotgun, and Match Play Brackets Revealed.

Member Booking Tee Times & Guest Discounts
When you are booking a tee time for you and guests, please go to Here you will scroll your mouse over “Tee Times” then select the “Member Only Tee Times” tab. Select the course you would like to book at. The available options for this course are now available up to 14 days in advance for you. The rates listed will be the Rack Rate at that time. Remember, your guests will receive the 25% off the rack rate when they check in (25% off the rate on the tee time posted for 18 holes). Example of this is at New Albany Links on Saturday morning the rate is $57, with 25% off the rack rate, your guest fee will be $42.75. Rates will vary per course and are subject to change throughout the year.
When you book on the New Era Golf Member Portal, there will not be any booking fees. You will notice a section called “Public Tee Times”. Since the New Era Golf website is used for members and non-members, we have this option now available. When this option is selected, the non-members will be directed to our web portal and book their tee times at the golf course that they choose. ***Members, do not book your tee time by selecting the “Public Tee Time” section as you will be charged a $1.95 booking fee per golfer***. Continue using the “Member Only Tee Times” tab to book and you will not be charged any booking fees.
Alcoholic Beverages on Course Property
Please note that all alcohol must be purchased at the New Era Golf facility that you are playing. The State of Ohio requires that customers purchase the alcohol to be consumed on site from that golf facility. You may not bring your own alcohol on to the property. We have a great selection of several drinks for all our customers. If there is something that we don’t have, let us know and we will see about getting that in. Respect these simple rules and we will all be good. Thank you for your cooperation.
Referral Rounds
You will receive 4 Free Rounds of Golf if you refer a new membership to New Era Golf. Please let Ryan Jacocks know within 10 days of the new member purchasing their membership and I will make sure to get you your free rounds.
