NASC Advisor of the Year

A call for nominations

The Nevada Association of Student Councils (NASC) understands that advisors are instrumental to the success of each school’s Student Leadership Program and the continued development of the state association. For this reason, NASC recognizes outstanding advisors at the State Conference each spring. All member schools are invited to nominate an outstanding student council advisor for the NASC Advisor of the Year. Each school is limited to one nomination.

The NASC Advisor of the Year will receive a $1000.00 scholarship to attend an advisor training conference and represent Nevada in the National Advisor of the Year selection process.

Nominees for NASC Advisor of the Year must have two full years of experience as a student council advisor in Nevada, must be members of the State Association and be from a school that received the 2015/2016 Silver or Blue Star Award. A list of Star winners is posted on www.NevadaStuCo.org. Additionally, advisors who have previously won the Nevada Advisor of the Year Award must wait four years before being nominated again:

Letters should highlight the advisor’s experience, organizational skills, school spirit and role as a motivator/inspiration. If your advisor is not eligible, you may nominate an advisor from another school.
