National Performance League Coaching / Manager Opportunities

Introduction

TeamBath have several exciting coaching opportunities available for the forthcoming season involving both the Team Bath National Performance League squad (U19) and the Team Bath Futures Squad (U17). We are seeking coaching staff for the forthcoming season that share our commitment to excellence and who have the skills and drive to take the squad and themselves to the next level.

Netball Performance League

The NPL is the formal junior U19 competition in which the TeamBath squad will be drawn from the top level players of the NSW Regional Performance Programme. There are 9 participating teams with all sides playing each other just once. The NPL will officially start in February 2016 and continue through to April 2016. There will be 4 Home matches and 4 Away matches held on Friday, Saturday or Monday evenings. Dates will be confirmed at a later date, home matches are likely to be at the University of Bath STV. The NPL season will finish with a 3 day residential competition, Venue TBC from March 30th to April 3rd 2016.

It is anticipated that the TeamBath NPL squad will train weekly on Tuesdaysat The University of Bath commencing in December 2015 through to the final competition in March 2015,time 7pm -9.30pm

Selection for the TeamBath NPL Squad will take place on Tuesday 29th September, 7-10pm and Friday 30th October, 10-2pmat The University of Bath.

Applications for the following roles are sought

Details of times and dates for the season will follow. The roles and responsibilities of the posts are attached.

The interviews/practical assessments, if required will take place at The University of Bath between 12.00pm and 6pm on Monday 24th August.

Successful applicants for all the posts above will be expectedto be part of the Team Bath Apprentice Coach Education scheme for the forthcoming season.

Roles and Requirement:

TeamBath National Performance League (NPL) Head Coach

  • Design, manage and deliver an age appropriate coaching programme for the selected athletes at all training sessions and matches.
  • Manage and lead on organising fixtures and travel arrangements in conjunction with the Team Bath NPL manager.
  • Liaise with the Assistant coach and other selectors to select the Team Bath NPL squad.
  • Contribute to Regional screening events, Team Bath events and other parts of the annual programme as agreed with the NSW Performance Pathway Coaches.
  • Attend 3 TeamBath Coaches and management meetings during the course of the season.
  • Attend a minimum of 4 Team Bath Apprentice Coach Education Workshops.
  • Contribute to the overall development of the franchise where appropriate.
  • Attend national and regional coaching / training events to aid CPD.
  • Assist in the promotion of TeamBath in the target area.

TeamBath National Performance League (NPL) Assistant Coach

  • Work with the head coach to design manage and deliver an age appropriate coaching programme for the selected athletes at all training sessions and matches.
  • Work with the Head coach and other selectors to select the Team Bath NPL squad.
  • Contribute to Regional screening events, TeamBath events and other parts of the annual programme as agreed with the NSW Performance Pathway Coaches.
  • Attend 3 TeamBath Coaches and management meetings during the course of the season.
  • Attend a minimum of 4 Team Bath Apprentice Coach Education Workshops.
  • Contribute to the overall development of the franchise where appropriate.
  • Attend national and regional coaching / training events to aid CPD.
  • Assist in the promotion of TeamBath in the target area.

Team Bath National Performance League Manager

  • To manage the squad on match days and to be responsible for athlete welfare at all times Responsibilities including:
  • Manage the squad on match days, including travelling with the athletes and taking responsibility for welfare
  • Where possible, attending training dates throughout the year.
  • Submit the squad list and subsequent team lists as required
  • Collate and maintain a player database, including medical details, emergency contacts and accident reports
  • Be responsible for communication with athletes and parents with regard to logistical arrangements for matches
  • Be a point of contact with other teams in the clubs respective Leagues leading up to and during the 2014/15 season
  • Organise transport and accommodation (if necessary) for all away games
  • Ensure all logistical arrangements are in place for any home games, including venue and hosting/refreshments
  • Be responsible and co-ordinate all kit for players and team officials
  • Source and purchase any equipment required, in liaison with the Head Coach
  • Supporting Coaches to write and submit match day reports, website announcements and press release

Notes:

All management position offers are subject to satisfactory CRB check results.

All positions are subject to review throughout the season

All positions are unpaid but some travelling expenses will be reimbursed.

It should also be noted that Team Bath, reserve the right to review if all posts should be filled depending on the skills and experience of all applicants.
