Minutes from 9-12-08

****Next Meeting will be held at Great Lakes on October 24th, 2008 from 10:00am – 2pm. Please note that this meeting will probably take the entire time. Please be prepared to bring completed information (materials for presentations, game, calculations, etc) as we will go over most of what we will cover at the conference for this meeting.****

Winter Conference:

SessionI. Part 1. History Game and FAFSA Updates from 10:00am – 11:15am on December 10th – Host for Game is Todd Everett. We will be going with the game “Liar’s Club” and the “Liars” are Randy, Katie and Jean. Al will provide commentary after the correct answer is revealed.

Part 2 – FAFSA Updates. Those will be conducted by Randy.

Session II Part 1. Tables Overview and Case Studies 1 & 2 from 1:30pm – 2:45pm on December 10th – Al will conduct the Tables Overview

Part 2 – Case Studies. Patricia and Katie will walk the session attendees through the first two case studies.

Session III Case Studies 3 & 4 from 3:00pm – 4:15pm. Lori and Pam will walk the attendees through each case study.

Miscellaneous Information:

It was decided that we will not use the traditional binders we have used in the past as the cost was much more at roughly $1.50/ binder. We will have the information binded together by the printer which will save on having to put information in the binders and the overall cost is about $0.65 per packet.

It was asked if we could have T-shirts or something screen printed on a T-Shirt. The cost for the T-Shirts was well over $200 and included a design as well as the shirts being screen printed etc. I look at 3 different companies locally in Columbus, therefore we will not be able to have t-shirts made this year.

January Workshops

Reminder – Need to keep costs to a minimum if possible. Pizza and Salad and pop/bottled water to drink preferred.

We need folks on the committee to attend at least 1 workshop, the following information is who is attending the 22nd or 29th Workshop in January:

January 22 – Northern Ohio (Lorain CC)
