Section 3: SELECTION CRITERIA

Selection will be based on the following criteria:

  1. Prepare an800 to 1000 word essay from a choice of two topics: Quality of essay in terms of clarity of expression, presentation and structuring of the discussion will be taken into consideration.
  • What can employers do to find, hire and promote front line women in construction? And what are the benefits to employers of a more diverse workforce?

OR

  • What drives you as a woman to enter an industry such as the one you have chosen and explain why? Describe any challenges you believe you will be/are faced with and how they can be overcome.
  1. A brief explanation of how the NAWIC scholarship will assist you in yourplan ofstudy (e.g. assistance with purchasing text books).
  2. Referee report

Please note the successful applicant’s essay will be published in one or more NAWIC Qld/NT publcations – such as the NAWIC website, Facebook page and Linkedin page.

Although QUT does not take any tax off the scholarship amount, QUT is not authorised to deem this scholarship tax exempt.
