Introduction
- This Year marks the 100 year anniversary of the Battle of Jutland which was the largest naval battle of WW1. A remembrance ceremony will take place at the Southsea War memorial at 1400 on the 31st May. The parade will form up on Stanley Street, Southsea, step oo down Palmerston Road, Avenue De Caen to the Southsea War Memorial on the seafront.
Parade
- PO(AWW) Hartley (9380 24757) will act as Chief of the Parade and is responsible for the planning and execution of the parade. He will be assited by CPO(AWW) Guest and staff from HMS Collingwood (C) and HMS Sultan (S). Parade route and orders can be found at Annex’s A & B
Manpower
- HMS Collingwood and HMS Sultan will each provide one unarmed platton. Other platoons will be fromed from Military Associstions and the Sea Cadets.

Dress
- Units are to dress as follows:
- Service Personnel - No 1A’s
- Sea Cadets- As directed by Sea cadet Corps
- Associations- As appropriate
- Service personnel not on parde- 1B’s
Inclement Weather
- Inclement weather routines are not possible for the parade although a covered area will be provided for invited guests and VIP’s.
Training
- HMS Collingwood and Sultan are to prepare their own plattons indepently.

- A briefing for the Southsea Parade will take place at the Southsea War Memorial on Thur 26 May 2016 at 1100 for the following personnel:

- Hant’s Police
- Sea Cadet Rep
- Parade Staff.
Supporting Arrangements & Transport
- Transport is to alight passengers adjacent to Waitrose, Marmion Road Southsea no later than 1300, before procedding to the D Day museum car park and wait for the parade to fall out. Approxamatly 1515.

Minute Guns
- Minute Guns will not be fired for the memorial. The Last Post and Reveille will be sounded to mark Silences.

- The PME for the parade has been submitted to 11 Bde. Hant’s Police are in contact with parade staff regarding security.

First Aid
- First aid will be provide by 1 x St John’s Ambulance situated at Southsea war memorial, with 1 LMA / MA following the parade from Stanley Street.

Traffic Management
- Traffic Management will be provided by MGS Security who will conduct rolling road blocks along the parade route and Southsea seafront.

FORMATION OF THE PARADE
- Detachments taking part in the Parade are to form up as follows:
Service Units, Association’s and Cadets Units are to muster in Stanley Street PO5 2DS, no later than 1300 under the direction of the Chief of Parade (CoP). The RM Band will lead the parade at 1337. Command Orders will be given by parade staff.

The I/C and 2I/C will move to the left/right, after a regimental pause the I/C and 2I/C will move to their respective positions.
