Native American League (3rd/4th grade)
Hello - We wanted to give you a quick update as the upcoming schedule for the DYA Lacrosse Native league. See below for the key dates. We are also in need of a few more coaches, we have eight teams, and currently have 4 coaches signed up (as well as some assistants.) No lacrosse experience is necessary; we have other coaches in the league that will help with fundamentals. Please let us know if you are interested in learning more about coaching.
All practices will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and games will be held on Sunday’s at 12:30 p.m. The location for both practices and games is Emerald Fields, which are located at 7850 Scioto Crossing Park, Dublin OH 43016. All teams practice and play their games at the same site, at the same time. Each player will need a DYA jersey.
March 12, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. - Equipment Pick up – DYA office (if you rented a helmet, or need shoulder pads, and/or a jersey)
March 13, 2016 from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. – Opening Day – Dublin Coffman HS Stadium. All participants
March 14/16 – 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. – League wide practice/clinic at Emerald Fields. Weather permitting
March 21/23 – NO Practice – Dublin Spring Break.
March 28/30 – 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. League wide practice/clinic at Emerald Fields.
Sunday April 3 – First Select Team Tryout – Time TBD
Monday April 4 –6:00 to 7:15 p.m. League wide practice/clinic Second Select Team Tryout
Tuesday April 5 – Teams formed – you will be notified via DYA email.
Wednesday April 6 – 6:00 to 7:30 – First Team practice – Emerald Field
Sunday April 17 – First Game
Sunday May 22 – Last Game
