The National Research Restoration Centre of Ukraine is pleased to inform you of the 9thInternational scientific and practical conference Research, Conservation and Restoration of Museum Objects: Achievements, Trends of Development that will be held in Kiev on May20–24, 2013.
The main topics for the conference are as follows:
· ethical standards of conservation/restoration;
· legal and regulatory framework for research, preservation and conservation/restoration of movable objects of cultural heritage;
· criteria for estimation of conservation/restoration quality;
· environmental and technological aspects of preservation and conservation of museum objects;
· research in restoration: the perspective of integration with modern sciences;
· international experience in conservation/restoration of movable objects of cultural heritage;
· examination of museum objects with complicated or controversial attribution.
Working languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English.
Rules for presenting reports:
· just one report may be introduced by an author to the program of the conference and published;
· volume is up to five A4 printed pages (illustrations are included);
· sequence of text arrangement on a page: report title (in capital letters, type size 14) –author’s full name – full institution name, city, country, – text of the report; pages are not numbered;
· references are not included in the text;
· the report should be sent on CD or DVD media in DOC format (font Times New Roman Cyr, 14 pt, line spacing – 1.5, margins: top – 2 cm, bottom – 2 cm, left – 3 cm, right – 1,5cm) with necessary control printing in two copies;
· illustrations, drawings, diagrams, formulas, tables are to arrange in the text of the report and duplicated in separate files of TIFF format, 300 dpi.
Application form, two printed copies of the report, its electronic version should be sent before November 30, 2012 (after this date the Organizing Committee will not be able to prepare the submitted materials for publishing).
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to arrange the conference program and select the materials for publishing.
All expenses (fare, accommodation) are paid by a sending organization.
