Name:The Morton County Farm Bureau Family Member Scholarship.

Purpose:The scholarship will recognize academic achievements as well as leadership skills of college-age students.

Amount:The scholarship is five hundred ($500) dollars.

Criteria:The following criteria will be used in selecting recipients.

Applicant’s parents or grandparents are members of Morton County Farm Bureau.

Applicant is an undergraduate student who has completed or will be completing their freshman year of post-secondary school.

Applicant is a well-rounded student who has achieved a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better. The student should maintain quality involvement in a balance of extra curricular activities and service activities plus demonstrates leadership ability and potential.

Applicant has sent application, high school and college transcripts and three reference statements from individuals other than relatives no later than June 15. Forms are enclosed.

Funds are to be expended only for tuition, room and board, books or other appropriate educational expenses.

Application, current college transcripts and three Reference Statements must be submitted by June 15. Computer generated transcript is acceptable.

Reference Statement:
Ask three individuals, other than relatives, to complete a copy of the following Reference Statement.

Applications, references and transcripts must be submitted as a complete package by June 15th. The winner will be announced by ~July 1st with the scholarship available for the fall term.
