Nokia – 3gpp Members are planning to create a WI in April for Unicast communications and UE to NW Relay for commercial applications.

CEWIT - We have headstart on this SI. We have overlap with 3gpp. Can we take this to 3gpp or what is the course of action?

IITH - Is it going to be rel-14 item or 15+ item? As per the recent 3gpp meeting very few new WI will be created for rel-14. This is still a proposal in front of RAN. D2D will probably evolve as part of 5G. An aggregator for IoT using D2D link was proposed by QC at RAN.

CEWIT - An aggregator is essentially collecting device that collects data from IoT devices

IITH – there are 3 types of Relay: D2D Relay, Relay Node, Aggregator Relay

Nokia - We continue contributions at TSDSI. We don’t duplicate our work.
