Russian language course is compulsory for exchange students at any level, no fee is required.

Average course load per semester 30 ECTS.

Application information

Nomination deadline: April 20 – for Autumn semester, October 20 – for Spring semester

Application deadline: May 1 – for Autumn semester, November 1 – for Spring semester

Accommodation: no special form is required, students just tick appropriate slot in the application form

Registration form: final choice of subjects upon arrival

NB!: No student can be admitted without prior nomination (see nomination deadlines

above) from home university.

Once a student is officially nominated we will contact the partner university coordinator and if necessary the student directly about registration procedure, on campus accommodation and course selection.

Admission documents required

1. an official nomination letter from a partner university indicating the level of the

study (bachelor/master) and period of study (see academic calendar above).

2. a filled in application form (available upon nomination)

3. a clear scanned copy of national passport (the passport must be valid at least 18 months from the day of departure), please also indicate place of birth and a city where you are going to apply for entry visa.

4. a transcript of academic records

5. 2 photos (3X4)

6. a copy of medical insurance policy valid in Russia for the whole period of stay

7. a copy of certificate of previous education (only Double and Triple Degree students)

LETTERS OF INVITATION

are sent to partner universities by express mail

for Autumn semester: for EU students and for overseas students - late June/early July

for Spring semester: for EU students and for overseas students - middle of December

VISA AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

With the letters of invitation students can apply for a single entry visas. Within 3 working days upon arrival exchange students must get registered at the International Office (visa and registration department) room №649, building 3 in order to obtain multiple student visa for the whole period of stay. It takes approximately 10 days to issue multiple visa that costs about 100 euro.

Type of accommodation offered & PRICE:

Dormitory on-campus, double and triple fully-furnished rooms, 200 EURO per person per month (subject to change), paid on a monthly basis, allocated to students upon receiving a complete application file, no deposit is required, bed linen is provided.

Please mind that it is not easy to find an affordable off-campus accommodation in Moscow.

LIVING COSTS

600 – 700 EURO per month including:

- Accommodation approximately 200 euro per month (8000 rubles) subject to change

-  Food approximately 200 euro

-  Local transport 15-20 euro

Books may cost around 100 EURO per semester if bought + deposits in the library 20 – 100 EURO returned in full upon the return of the book.

PICK UP SERVICE UPON REQUEST

Plekhanov students (buddies) contact international students about a month before their arrival, make arrangements to meet them at an airport or railway station (free of charge) and take them to the dormitory.
