Research experiance:

  1. As chemist – in chemical analysis of electrolytic bath of Magnesium electrolytic cell, and determination of impurities in magnesium metal (produced by electrolysis of MgCl2) by AAS.

As operator – in bipolar electrolytic cell for production of Magnesium metal from MgCl2. This work was carried out at Central Electrochmeical Research Institute, Karaikudi for a project sponsored by DMRL Hyderabad during 1991.

  1. Material of different ores, minerals, beneficiated products and synthetic chemicals (solid and liquids) characterization by using chemical and various instrumental methods like X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence, TG/DTA, UV-Visible. Spectrophotometer, Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. This work is being done at RRL, Bhubaneswar to provide analytical support to the various sponsored / in-house projects of the laboratory.

Synthesis and characterization of inorganic rare earth oxide phosphor materials for application in display devices.This work was carried out as part of my Ph. D study.

  1. Synthesis, Characterizationand catalytic evaluation of solid acid catalysts for Friedal-Craft acylation reactions in an attempt provide clean technology. This work was carried out at Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany, under DAAD fellowship programme 2001.
