Content
The quiz poses questions based upon the format of the game show ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire?’ Questions appear with four multiple choices and the option of removing two incorrect answers by using 50/50. This activity should be introduced on the interactive whiteboard.
Activities
  • Whole class
Teacher to lead the questioning, and ask pupils to come out to the whiteboard and touch the correct answer. If the answer is incorrect the word Anghywir(Incorrect) appears on the screen. The pupil must then click on Triwch Eto(Try Again) in order to return to the question and retry. If the correct answer is selected the word Cywir(Correct) appears on the screen and the pupil must click on Cwestiwn Nesa(Next Question) in order to continue. As questions are answered correctly pupils are informed of how much money they have won. If the pupil is unsure the teacher can offer 3 LIFELINES by asking:
(i) Wyt ti eisiau ‘Hanner a Hanner’?(Do you want 50/50?)
(ii) Wyt ti eisiau gofyn i ffrind?(Do you want to ask a friend?)
(iii) Wyt ti eisiau gofyn i’r dosbarth?(Do you want to ask the class?)
Pupil to choose a lifeline by saying Dw i eisiau .....(I want ….)
By clicking on the LIFELINE ‘50/50’ two incorrect answers are removed.
The ‘GOFYN I FFRIND’ LIFELINE can be used by allowing the pupil to ask a friend in the class.
The ‘GOFYN I’R DOSBARTH’ LIFELINE can be used by asking the class for a show of hands in response to each option.
