Agenda Items

  1. City looking for any opportunities for new events to bring people to Marshfield for a weekend in February or March

-Idea of maybe having a three day hockey tournament, curling, broomball, snow activities

  1. Budget motion for approval by Dave, 2nd by Scott

-Treasurer’s Report approved by Bill, 2nd by Scott

-Finance meeting

-Brainstormed ideas for additional income including a roller derby in the summer, a high school boys/girls tournament Dec. 26-27th **Tabled until the next meeting

-$1.00 door charge for HS students with an ID approved by Cory, 2nd by Shannon

-Increase general registration by $5.00 at each level approved by Al, 2nd by Cory

  1. Robby Hall

-Biggest needs are structure and communication

-Run program, coaching

-Commit to one practice/wk

-Parents trained as volunteers at least 6 on the ice so coaches are moving around

-Approval to change progam to 6U and 8U instead of new skaters and mites by Shannon, 2nd by Jim

-Idea to bring back the “Blades Cup”

  1. Registration

-online registration by June 15th

-Early bird by August (1st week), regular fees increase by August 15th

-August 6th and 8th at the rink for registration in person, have an equipment swap/sell

-Have tables for registration night set up with fundraising, work hours, reg, etc.

-Make football mania tickets available early so people can sell all summer

  1. Jerseys

-Al Cheney from Marshfield Clinic is offering $5,000 this year and then $5,000 annually

-He wants to keep the zamboni funding separate from the jerseys gift $1,500

  1. Coaches

-Ben Berrier working on who, but we need more! Look for previous players still in the area for consideration or outside the area

  1. WAHA meeting

-Boa Hockey Sticks

-Custom wood sticks with a label **have pricing sheet

-Sani Sport

-For $100 per person they would come to the rink 5x to clean equipment

  1. Team Liaisons

--Go between for coach/team manager/board
