April 2nd, 2018

Dear Patient,

My name is Dr. Timothy Baggott, and I recently took over the dental practice of Dr. Paul Smaglick. As many of you know, he lost his battle to cancer on February 14th. While it is with a heavy heart, I am truly honored to be continuing the work of a man with the integrity and technical excellence of Dr. Smaglick. He was an outstanding dentist, and an even better person. I want to thank the Smaglick Family, especially his wife Dorothy, for all of their hard work and support with the transition, during this undoubtedly difficult time. I also want to thank you, the patients, for your understanding and loyalty.

Dr. Smaglick was a classmate and friend of my father. I studied under Dr. Smaglick regularly during my time at Marquette University School of Dentistry graduating Cum Laude in 2010. Upon graduation, I began practicing in Greenfield, sharing an office with my father, William. In 2013, I returned to Marquette Dental School as an adjunct professor. I am on the Board of Directors for the Greater Milwaukee Dental Association, as well as a delegate for the Milwaukee Region to the Wisconsin Dental Association House of Delegates.

I am up to date with the newest materials, techniques, and technology, which you will see as we incorporate low-dose digital x-rays and computers throughout the office. I pride myself on offering the “latest and greatest” with the same conservative practice philosophy and time-tested experience of the generation of dentists that came before me. Working with my father for the last 8 years has given me an in-depth look into how Dr. Smaglick practiced dentistry. I am well aware of his clinical and technical expertise, and I am confident that I can provide the same high level of care that you have come to expect from him.

On a personal note, I have lived in the Greater Milwaukee area my entire life. I also attended Marquette for my undergraduate studies. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, golf, and cheering on Marquette Basketball. My wife, Laura, is a kindergarten teacher at St. Anthony on the Lake in Pewaukee. Ironically enough, both her father and brother are dentists as well; they have a practice together in Rockford, Illinois. Laura and I are expecting our first child in May.

I want to thank our receptionist, Charlene, and our hygienist, Alexis, for all of their hard work during the transition. And once again, thank you for your loyalty. I look forward to meeting you soon.

Sincerely,

Timothy C Baggott, DDS
