MY MEMORY BOOK

During this term, your project is to write and complete your memory book. This is meant to be a memento of your time in Primary School and something that you will cherish in years to come. This book is very important and is to be displayed at your graduation ceremony. The completed book is due by Monday 3rd December. It will be completed partially as part of your homework tasks and some time will be given at school.

You will be required to complete a minimum of two chapters per week in order to ensure that all books are completed in time. As previously mentioned there will be time given in class each week. This time should be used productively and as a conferencing time with your teacher. Make sure that you know which day you are required to have your memory book at school and that you have proof read and edited your own work first.

You can be as creative as you like with the presentation and may choose to include pictures, work samples or other souvenirs eg. train tickets, programs, certificates or notices etc. Some of you might even like to present your memory book electronically using programs such as PowerPoint or Glogster, or even as your own blog. These will need to be in printed form however for presentation at Graduation night.

One chapter does not necessarily have to equate to one page. For example on chapter might only require that you write a paragraph, whereas chapter four covers years 4, 5 and 6, years where there have been many, many events and memories to be recalled and stories to be told. This might take several pages to cover suitably.

Your title page will be the show piece of your book and you will begin this is Art with Mrs Boyle. You are encouraged to be artistic and creative under her guidance.

A book has already been purchased for this project. You do not need to purchase any other type of book.
