Major Goal: Students will learn the meaning and application of common terms and controls of SLR-type digital

Amount of Time to Learn the Content: 2 hours

System Requirements: Internet ready computer, browser w/ java enabled, 56k dial-up, Flash player 7.0, audio card, and speaker.

2. Program Description

Characteristics of Target Learners:

This courseware is designed for adult learners, aged between 17-80. Students will need basic computer skills, the ability to use a web browser; as well as an Single Lens Reflex style digital camera and some basic photography knowledge. A high school reading ability is needed in order to make the most of the lesson.

Instructional objectives:

  1. Students will demonstrate an ability to name and describe the functions of the camera controls of a single lens reflex digital camera.
  1. Students will define common terms used in digital photography.
  1. Students will demonstrate the ability to make adjusments to the ISO, mode, quality, white balance, and release methods of their digital cameras.
  1. Students will demonstrate an ability to adjust the shuter speed and aperture of their digital camera.
