Position Title / Develop A Diamond Regional Academy (DADRA) Head Coach

Position Overview / Reporting to the Regional Development Officer and liaise and consult with Netball WA Player Development Coordinator. The DADRA Head Coach will be responsible for the selection, preparation and development of the DADRA Squad and Academy teams. The Head Coach will be required to provide guidance and mentoring to other coaches in the program, ensuring development and succession planning of coaches through the program.
The DADRA Head Coach will be required to work collaboratively with Netball WA, the Region, Regional Development Officer, DADRA coaches and other officials to ensure the successful achievements of this program.

Key duties: / ·  Promote the purpose and values of Netball WA, and the Region within the Netball and greater Western Australian Communities;
·  Engage with Netball WA Game Development Coordinator, regarding athlete requirements for key events and competitions to ensure all requirements are met;
·  Lead and build a culture of sustained success throughout the DADRA program environment to ensure the team and wider support staff are maximising development outcomes and achieving agreed values and behaviours;
·  In consultation with the DADRA Assistant and/or Apprentice Coach, establish guidelines and responsibilities that will allow the Assistant /Apprentice Coach to maximise their development opportunities;
·  Provide regular feedback to the Assistant Coach / Apprentice Coach regarding their coaching skills;
·  Liaise with the Team Manager regarding program requirements during the Academy Cup Competition including change room allocation, game fixtures, eating arrangements and player liaison;
·  Attend all team training sessions;
·  Attend all scheduled team education sessions;
·  Manage & coordinate athletes at the events/competitions;
·  Attend the Netball WA sanctioned events/competitions, with the main emphasis being on the development of coaches, athletes and officials;
·  Attend Netball WA DADRA Professional Development sessions;
·  Ensure appropriate records are kept and maintained relating to the program/events;
·  Contribute information and reports for inclusion in relevant Netball WA reporting;
·  Adhere to and comply with Netball WA policies and procedures;
·  Any other duties within the Head Coaches capabilities and which is reasonable to expect this role to undertake.

Qualifications and Experience / Essential Criteria
·  Advanced Level Coach Accreditation;
·  Ability and openness to be mentored and mentor others;
·  Proven experience with Netball Coaching;
·  Good Understanding of Player development (all aspects including physical, social and emotional) and the Netball WA development pathway;
·  Ability to develop, implement initiatives, critically review and recognise opportunities for improvements;
·  Proven ability to effectively plan and prioritise work and maximise the use of internal and external resources to achieve outcomes;
·  Suitability in terms of behaviour, ethics and attitude to represent the PLNR
·  Ability to work independently and part of a broader team;
·  Working with Children Check Clearance;

Hours of work / This position requires weekend and evening work.
