Part 46 requires 8 hours of Annual Refresher training for “Experienced and Newly Hired Miners” as perMSHA regulations. TheWACA Safety Committee offers affordable and comprehensive Aggregate industry specific training modules to help you satisfy these requirements.

This1-day program is designed to bring you both MNM industry specific topics and/or Annual First Aid refresher hours (4) to satisfy the 8 hours of required training. Your existing safety plan should be modified to include the training elements presented when attending this program.

Part 46 Deadline for Annual Training iswithin a 12 month period of previous training

2 elements of Safety training are typically offered:

First Aid training:4 hour RefresherTrainingis offered in the AM (and PM if necessary)plus4 hours of topical training will satisfy your8 hour requirements.

Topical Training:Aggregate Industry Topicswill satisfy your8 hour requirements. Your safety plan should be modified to include program topics.

Our program includes: First Aid Training and Topical Training sessions presented by aggregate industry safety professionals, safety company representatives, and MSHA personnel. Some topics subject to change as speaker schedules may change. **NOTE: scheduling for First Aid is not confirmed for these dates as of Jan. 12. We will confirm FA training for our scheduled dates as possible at the time of registration or as becomes available.

Each Facilityis required to complete 30 minutes (or more) of safety training regarding specific changes at the mine site (MSHA required element).

We may assignan additional task (1 hour) of conducting a safety topic at your facilities. Online Safety training is available through our Safety Partner; VIVID Learning System. @ WACA members receive DISCOUNTED pricing . VIVID training should be discussed and addressed at safety meetings. Miners will leave these sessions with approx 6.5 - 7 hours of training.

Times shown are approximate session times. Program will start promptly at 8:15 AM. Break time will be provided for lunch on your own.

Instructors are experienced Aggregate Industry Safety Managers, trained and qualified safety consultants, vendors, and NW regional MSHA personnel.

Upon successful completion of First Aid Refresher Training and Topical Training, miners will receive a Topical and First Aid certificate of completion for training completed. Copies should be retained in individual miner personnel training files and on site company safety plans. If available, topic specific written materials will be provided.

Reservations are on a first PAID registered / first served basis. First Aid Refresher classes are limited to 25 people per each 4-hour sessions.
