Look for your child’s Book Buddy each night. Read the book to/with your child. Record the book’s title on your child’s Book Log. Please keep the Log inside the bag and please do not write on the plastic bag. Return the Book Buddy the next day so your child can choose a new book. This time is part of your child’s homework each night.
All kindergarteners must have a completed health assessment and completed immunization record submitted within 30 days of the start of school. That date is approaching quickly! Reminders were sent home last week. Take care of these items ASAP to avoid your child’s suspension.
Ident-A-Kid will be at school on Friday, September 15th. Payment must be received by Friday. Information will be sent home this week.
Bus/Car tags need to remain on book bags until the end of September. Any changes in how children go home must be in writing.
Don’t forget to check your child’s take-home folder each night. Remove items that are on the “Keep at Home” side. Also review and initial your child’s behavior sheet. Send all money envelopes, notes, completed forms, etc. to school in this folder.
Don’t forget to send a small snack each day for your child. Our snack time is around 9:45am every morning. Just a reminder…we are a nut free class. If you have sent snack money to school, that money has been loaded on your child’s lunch account to purchase snacks/goodies at lunch.
Mrs. Pope, our intern from ECU, needs your consent to photograph/video record your child as part of her assignments. Please complete the parental/guardian permission form and return to school. Thank you!
Please send in a complete change of clothes for your child to keep at school. Clothing needs to be in a gallon-size Ziploc bag with your child’s name written on it. Thank you to those who have taken care of this!
Scholastic Book Orders are due Friday, September 15th. Payment should be made with cash or checks made payable to Scholastic Reading Club.
Please send in a written note when your child has been absent. Even if I know they were sick, I have to have a note for the office. Notes must be received within 3 days of your child’s return to school. If I do not receive a note within this time frame, the absence automatically converts to unexcused.
Mark your calendar! Our Title I Curriculum Night will be Thursday, September 21st, at 5:30pm. PTO will sponsor a movie following the program and will be serving popcorn and drinks.
We are in need of small items for our treasure box! Thank you in advance. The party supply section of stores usually has a variety of items.
