Sporting Success

We have had an incredibly successful sporting term.

Our girls’ football team won the Vale of the White Horse League for the 6th year in succession, they also won the County Championship and will represent Oxfordshire in the South West England Championships. Our boys’ team came 3rd in their league, finishing 2 points behind the eventual winners.

Our Cross Country teams excelled, our Year 5/6 girls’ and 5/6 boys’ teams were South Oxfordshire & Oxfordshire Champions whilst our Year 3/4 boys were 3rd in the country. A very young Year 3/4 girls’ team qualified for the County finals and performed credibly just missing out on a medal position.

Our Sportshall Athletic team has qualified for the County Finals for the first time having beaten very strong competition in the South Oxfordshire Championships.

To round off a great few weeks, our Year 4 orienteering team in their first ever competition unexpectedly won the local cluster event.

Eco News

Butterflies and moths are becoming ever rarer as their habitats are destroyed by agriculture and other human activity.Do your bit to redress the balance by planting butterfly-friendly flowering plants such as lilac, buddleia, honeysuckle and evening primrose, and enjoy the colour that the flowers and butterflies bring to your garden.

‘Phil’ the Bag

The school raised £80.50from the recent ‘Phil’ the Bag.

Last Day of Term

The school will finish at the earlier time of 2.00pm on Thursday, 29th March. For a minimum donation of 50p per family, children can wear their own clothes to school instead of their normal school uniform. The money raised will go to the Sports Relief.
