We will continue to review concepts taught throughout 3rd grade.
Reading Workshop
It is that time of the year again, DRA assessments. I will be starting end of they year DRA tests this week. Students should be at a level 38 non-fiction to be at benchmark for the end of 3rd grade. Students will also be taking Unit 6 benchmark test.
Writing Workshop
Students will begin working on their animal presentation boards for our zoo on June 2nd. I have boards for all students however I did tell the students they are able purchase their own board if they would like. If the students use my boards they will be able to keep all of their information, but the board will come back to me. The size of the board is approximately 36” x 46”. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

Reminder: Our animal zoo will be open on June 2nd from 2:30-3:30 in the gym. Please make sure to come out and see what the students have learned and all the hard work they have accomplishedJ
Field Trip
The third grade classes will be going to The Oakes Museum on Monday, June 4th. I have 7 parents who have their clearances to be a chaperone for the trip. To be fair I will be picking 2 names out of a hat on Monday. If your name is picked I will be contacting via email to make sure you are able to join us. Thanks to all of you for completing and returning the permission slips and moneyJ.
