I’m Back! After 18 hours baby Lexi was born weighing 8 lbs. and was 21” long. Cute, adorable, tiny, lots of hair. The notes left by the substitute was “amazing class, kids respectful.” If I haven’t told you lately, these are wonderful kids and a joy to teach.
School Pride: Students are to wear certain colors to school each day which I’ve written on the other side of this paper. We will be reviewing school rules and all the great things happening at TIS.
Fall Party: Thanks to the moms who volunteered to put on the Fall Party. I’m sure everyone had a great time.
New Term: It’s a new term so think about what you can do to improve upon your learning. Is it getting quality work done? Is it getting work in on time? Do I practice my spelling and math facts each night? Have I been doing Reflex math at least 3X per week? Do I participate and ask questions in class? Set a goal and let’s make Term 2 the best ever.

Qualifiers for Midterm and End of Term Activities
1. No unfinished work
2. No “D’s” or “F’s” – I let students redo assignments and then average the 2 grades.
3. No more than two “3’s” or Think Times on Behavior Chart, or office referrals – Students will do a Think Time if I catch them playing games on their netbooks during class time. Very seldom do I let them play games at school.
4. Must have an “S” or “H” in citizenship. The Behavior Card system affects your citizenship as well as not turning in your homework/newsletter.
