OUTREACH

It is that time of the year again. The time for giving. Kindly open your hearts to those who are less fortunate in our community. We would like to prepare hampers for some families and help them through the holiday period. We ask for at least one item per child, if at all possible. Non-perishables such as canned food, dry beans, cereals, samp, rice, maize meal etc. We would also like to bless our General Assistants who have worked so hard this year to keep our school neat and clean. May you be richly blessed for your contribution.

URGENT!! ROAD SAFETY

We are extremely concerned about the manner in which the children are currently using the roads. There seems to be TOTAL disregard for the rules of the road. We have had several complaints from parents and other road users with regards to this. Learners are running on the road wildly and not crossing at the designated points. This senseless endangering of their lives has got to stop. Kindly encourage them to use the roads wisely and remind them to “LOOK RIGHT, LOOK LEFT, LOOK RIGHT AGAIN” before crossing.

2015

Circular 35 22 October 2015

Dear Parents,

FROM THE DESK OF MRS PILLAY
I trust that you are all well. We are fast approaching our examinations which are due to begin on the 5th of November. I appeal to you once again to emphasise the value of education to your children. Please support them while they are doing their homework and while they are studying. We expect of you to limit “playtime and TV time”. Studying should be prioritised right now. We as parents sometimes have to be “cruel to be kind”. Remember that your child’s future depends upon their attitude, hard work and your support. Your child’s co-operation with his/her teacher is critical to his/her success.
I wish all learners well during this time.
To the Staff of SVP, I know we have a very challenging term ahead, but with your dedication, devotion and determination, we will once again have a successful term.
