Summit County Children Services Easter Basket Program
Each class at Evamere is participating in putting together Easter baskets for Summit County children services. The age for G8’s baskets will be Newborns-Birth-age 2! If you are able, please send in the following to help fill the basket(s). Involve your child in helping pick something out.This is a good way to teach our children about helping others.
Note: All items must be new.
Please turn in items to our classroom by March 1st.
**Soft cuddly stuffed animals, infant care items:bibs, rattles, pacifiers, baby Lotion, baby shampoo, hair brush &comb sets, sippy cups, sleepers, diapers.
If you are interested in purchasing the basket and some grass for the items to go into, please email me!

Curriculum
Reading Dig deeper into understanding what we read (comprehension). Using “think-alouds” and “text coding” to keep track of our thinking when reading emergent-reader texts with purpose and understanding.
Writing: Continue stretching our small moment stories across pages by remembering and writing all the details from that moment .
Science/Social Studies Project Based Learning about Penguins- Designing and creating our Penguin Habitats and reflecting on the process of working with a team/group.
Math: We will sort 3D shapes by attributes, investigating spheres, searching for certain shapes around the room and building shapes with Polydrons. We will also practice “making 5” and counting up to 80 and counting down from 30. / Reminders!
  • Please remember to send a NUT-FREE snack daily with your child!
  • Please check the take-home folder daily!
  • Our PE days are Wednesday and Friday. Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes on those days.
  • Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather for recess.
