CLASS NOTES

Mrs. Briones Mr. Cuttica

We are entering Holy Week, the week leading up to the Glorious Resurrection. Thursday we will have our annual grade one through four Holy Thursday Retreat followed by the Stations of the Cross. The classes are broken into heterogeneous groups of varied grade levels. They will stay with that group and rotate to five different retreat activities. This has been a wonderful experience in the past for all involved. Ending with the Stations of the Cross sets the mood for the Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday services. These very special days serve as the basis of our Catholic faith. God bless you all as we travel this Holy Week together,

Holy Thursday Mass is beautiful, with the washing of the feet. Good Friday Service commemorate the crucifixion with veneration of the cross. Easter Vigil mass is long, but an experience all should have, it makes you so proud to be Catholic! Attending these as a family has such impact on our children. Thank you and God bless!

Prayer for Holy Week

Jesus my Lord, let me strengthen my courage by taking on the courage of all those people who have been "centurions" for me. Many have faced disasters and hard times with great constancy. The upper hand ofevilnever turned them against you. They kept going. Let me be like them, Lord. Nomatterwhat the cross, let me never stop declaring you to be "truly the Son of God, the source of my hope, thereasonwhy Iwillnever quit on life. Amen
