MPF CounsellingAppoints New Head of Counselling

MPF Counselling, the Bucks-based charity which offers affordablecounselling to adults in High Wycombe and the surrounding areas, is delighted to announce that they have appointed Dr Christine English as their new Head of Counselling.

Christine English is a BACP Senior Accredited counsellor with 10 years counselling experience including being Clinical Lead for a voluntary sector counselling service attached to Reading University. She currently has a private psychotherapy practice, convenes an experiential group of trainee counsellors at Basingstoke Counselling Service (a WPF affiliate), and is also teaching an Introduction to Counselling course for the University of Oxford Dept of Continuing Education.

MPF Counselling offers clients a confidential counselling service to help them deal with issues, such as depression or anxiety, which may have been triggered by recent events such as the break-up of a relationship, low income or unemployment.

Located in the centre of High Wycombe, MPF Counselling can offer appointments during the day, as well as in the evening. It is part of the wpf network, a long-established national body with recognised standards for training, counselling and supervision. In addition, it adheres to the requirements for ethical and professional conduct set by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and is accredited by this organisation.

Nigel Roberts, Chairman of MPF Counselling, said, ‘We are very happy that Christine has accepted this position as she has very strong counselling, supervision and management experience. She is very enthusiastic about the role and will be a great asset for MPF.’
