Summer Assignment

For Students Entering 8th Grade Math

Directions:

It is necessary that you to retain the skills you have learned in previous math courses in order to be successful in your 8th grade math class. These skills are going to be built upon next year. Please DO NOT use a calculator on this assignment. You will be given a skills quiz one of the first two days of school based on the information in this assignment and you will not be able to use a calculator then. The skills quiz will count as a grade toward your first marking period average. Bring this with you on the first day of school for your teacher to go over with you. This assignment will count as your first homework grade. If you find that you have forgotten how to solve certain problems, you may wish to look up how to. We look forward to seeing you in September. Have a good summer!
