Celebrate Mom at the 65th Canadian Tulip Festival with a scrumptious gourmet brunch buffet (including fresh Canadian Eggs) accompanied by live jazz among the tulips in theTulip Café.

The Canadian Tulip Festival has built a team comprised of some of Ottawa’s most seasoned event professionals.

Karen Wood, the Marketing Director for The Canadian Tulip Festival, is also the owner of

Knock on Wood Communications & Events Inc an Ottawa firm with a reputation for stellar events.

Galas: Broadway for Bruyere Gala for 500 VIPS; The Elmwood Gala; The Humane Society Fur Ball and Snowsuit Fund Gala are just a few.

New product Launches: Hotel, restaurant, condominium, new model home and upscale rental property launches for various developers incl. Morguard, Minto, Richcraft, Bentall Kennedy, Urbandale, Ashcroft, Urban Capital Property Group.

Media and VIP Events: National Capital Commission, The Canadian Garden Council, Canadian Museum of Nature, Canadian medical Association, Coops Canada, Forest Products of Canada

Within the next 2 weeks we will be hiring a dedicated Event Services Manager who will be solely responsible for ensuring that every detail of our Official and Client events are seamlessly planned and executed.

(Regular Admission is $15 for adults and Free for Children 12 and under)

Attention: Tablesare a mix of café tables of 2-4 and rounds of 8-10. Smaller parties may be grouped together to accommodate all those wishing to celebrate at Canadian Tulip Festival

OFFICIAL CATERER:

Mother’s Day Brunch will be created, displayed and served to Tulip Festival guests by Le St-Estephe, the Ottawa- Gatineau caterer that has been selected to provide daily light gourmet fare and service to festival visitors at The Tulip Café(10 am-5pm daily) at Festival media and VIP events; for organized tour groups and for several high profile corporate functions.

Mothers Day Brunch is being developed as an annual Signature Event for the festival. In 2017, proceeds from the Brunch are being donated to Bryuere Foundation.

Other Signature events to be catered by Le St- Estepheon behalf of the festival include the May 12- Tribute to Our Founders Grand Opening Vernissage (produced in collaboration with Ottawa Chamber of Commerce); Our May 18 Friendship Floral reception that will include embassy representatives from our 26 friendship countries as well as sponsors and VIPs . Call Betty Marketing, the producers of the immensely popular Ladies Who Lunch series will be working with Le St Estephe to produce a cocktail party for 500 professionals in the Aberdeen Pavilion on Tuesday May 16.

EVENT BRAND, THEME & DÉCOR

Of course if Egg Farmers of Canada joins us in partnership, the entire event will be branded and colour coordinated accordingly. From event branding and marketing to event décor, our efforts to establish a seamlessly brand for this event will include but are not limited to:

  • EFC logos on Mother’s Day Brunch page on our Tullipfestival.ca website, TicketPro.ca sales website, Tulip Festival emailers and social media posts
  • Mother’s Day Brunch branded ads in Ottawa Citizen, Ottawa Sun, Le Droit, and Majic 100(A More detailed advertising schedule will be provided but we have allocated space for Mother’s Day Brunch ads in Ottawa Citizen and Ottawa Sun)
  • Co-branded Mother’s Day Brunchmenus / program acknowledgements at the event
  • Colour coordinated table linens, tulip arrangements and table centerpieces - Possible incorporation of EFC aprons for serving staff (see picture below)
  • Yellow / white tulip giveaways to all the Mothers’ in attendance
  • Following are some inspiration pictures / mood boards that should help convey our vision for the event. Of course with your partnership, we would be pleased to collaborate on final decisions in this regard.
  • Possible addition of yellow/ white mini tulip and egg shaped cookies courtesy of our Official Cookie supplier Le Moulin de Province

THE VENUE:

The Historical Aberdeen Pavilion is part of the Lansdowne Park Tulip Gallery – The Friendship Floral and Art Tulip Experience. May 12-22, this festival HUB will be brimming with tulip art and floral exhibits, artistic installations, culinary experiences, interactive family programming and entertainment with may special features and exhibits.

  • Homage to Malak Karsh Photography Exhibit: 65 photographs curated in honour of the renowned photographer who founded the festival

  • Children’s Tulip Garden– Hundreds of wooden tulips painted and planted by local school children and family visitors
