Your Member Trustees and Governance Bulletin
Hi David
Next week is all about The Board. We're full steam ahead for our Trustee Conference on Monday and Trustees Week starts on the same day.
One standout statistic I gleaned from the TW website is that the average age of a trustee is 57 and only 2.1% are under 30. How to encourage a more even age spread is a big theme for next week, something Alex Swallow is well placed to talk about.
Enjoy the bulletin and do email me about anything you read here.
All the best,
Matt Gilfeather
Communications Officer

Is the payment of trustees inevitable?
Our President Lord Hodgson recently sparked a lively debate when he suggested that the payment of trustees is "coming whether we like it or not."
Karl Wilding subsequently outlined the rights, wrongs and implications, which created a further wave of comment.
