I have indicated above the dismissal arrangements for my child and received and/or read a school calendar. I am aware of the school’s dismissal procedures as well as being informed about district wide early dismissal days as set out in the calendar. I am also aware of the communication channels the district provides for unexpected delayed openings or school closures.
Use of Technology - Policy 2360
- Access and use of the Network is a privilege for the User, files and email contained on the district’s computer systems are the property of the Morris School District. Without both signatures (student and parent/guardian), the student will be denied access to any computer use in school.
- I have read and understand the Technology/Internet Code of Ethics, Disciplinary Action Policy and the Chromebook Policy, Procedures and Information packet (where applicable) and by signing, hereby agree to be responsible for and abide by all rules and regulations contained in them.
- I understand that the Morris School District has no control over the content of material found on the Internet, nor is the Morris School District responsible for any financial obligations incurred by me as a result of any purchase of product or services over the Network.
- Since there is always the potential that a Network system failure will result in a loss to a User’s information or work product, I understand that I am responsible for making a personal back-up of any information or product placed on the Network.
- I recognize that the Morris School District Administration does have the authority to monitor and intercept e-mail messages of all Users and that there shall be no privacy right construed to exist in any work product put on the Network.
- The Morris School District is required to notify parents/students who use district owned computers and electronic devices of the Anti-Big Brother Act - (N.J.S.A.) 18A:36-39 (P.L. 2013, c. 44). The Anti-Big Brother Act provides the Morris School District with the authority to record or collect information on the student's activity or the student’s use of the device if the electronic device is equipped with a camera, global positioning system, or other feature capable of recording or collecting information on the student’s activity or use of the device. The device(s) being issued to your child adhere to specifications outlined in the Anti-Big Brother Act. Families should also be aware that the school district is prohibited from using any of the capabilities in a manner that would violate the privacy rights of the student or any individual residing with the student.
Transportation Rules/Pupil Bus Conduct - Policy 8600.1
I have received and read the rules regarding student conduct on school busses, including activity busses, sports busses and late runs, and I understand that my child/ren are subject to these rules and disciplinary actions.
H.I.B. (Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying) – Policy 5512
I have read and understand the Morris School District “Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying” policy which applies to all acts of harassment, intimidation, or bullying, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:37-14 that occur on school property, at school sponsored functions, or on a school bus and, as appropriate, acts that occur off school grounds. By signing I hereby agree to abide by all rules and regulations contained within this policy.
Photo/Internet Permission Form
From time to time, the Morris School District may wish to publicize special programs and/or or academic/extracurricular achievements of students through District and/or third party websites, newspaper articles, or television broadcasts. Such publications or broadcasts may include the names and/or photographs of students. Because it is the policy of the Morris School District to obtain the permission of parents/guardians if a student’s image and/or name are to be released to the public, we ask that you check your preference. Yes, No - I grant permission for the MSD to use and/or release the name and/or image of my child, in order to publicize student achievements and/or school programs.
