Morning Watch One New Man – Week 2 May 7-13, 2018

Being Renewed in the Spirit of the Mind

for the Practical Existence of the

One New Man

Monday 5/7

Rom. 6:6

6Knowing this, that our old man has been crucified with Him in order that the body of sin might be annulled, that we should no longer serve sin as slaves;

Eph. 2:15

15Abolishing in His flesh the law of the commandments in ordinances, that He might create the two in Himself into one new man,so making peace,

Matt. 16:18

18And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

Rom. 6:3-5

3Or are you ignorant that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?
4We have been buried therefore with Him through baptism into His death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so also we might walk in newness of life.
5For if we have grown together with Him in the likeness of His death, indeed we will also be in the likeness of His resurrection,

Eph. 4:17-18, 20-21

17This therefore I say and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the Gentiles also walk in the vanity of their mind,
18Being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance which is in them, because of the hardness of their heart;

20But you did not so learn Christ,
21If indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him as the reality is in Jesus,

Tuesday 5/8

Eph. 4:22, 24

22That you put off, as regards your former manner of life, the old man, which is being corrupted according to the lusts of the deceit,

24And put on the new man, which was created according to God in righteousness and holiness of the reality.

Eph. 4:25-32

25Therefore having put off the lie, speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.
26Be angry, yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your indignation,
27Neither give place to the devil.
28He who steals should steal no more, but rather should labor, working with his own hands in that which is respectable, that he may have something to share with him who has need.
29Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but only that which is good for building up, according to the need, that it may give grace to those who hear.
30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed unto the day of redemption.
31Let all bitterness and anger and wrath and clamor and evil speaking be removed from you, with all malice.
32And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ also forgave you.

Wednesday 5/9

Rom. 12:2

2And do not be fashioned according to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and well pleasing and perfect.

Eph. 4:23

23And that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind

1 Cor. 15:45

45So also it is written, "The first man, Adam, became a living soul''; the last Adam became a life-giving Spirit.

2 Cor. 3:17-18

17And the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
18But we all with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord Spirit.

Rom. 8:5-6, 14

5For those who are according to the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but those who are according to the spirit, the things of the Spirit.
6For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace.

14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

2 Tim. 4:22

22The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.

Thursday 5/10

Eph. 4:23-24

23And that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind
24And put on the new man, which was created according to God in righteousness and holiness of the reality.

1 Cor. 12:12

12For even as the body is one and has many members, yet all the members of the body, being

many, are one body, so also is the Christ.

Eph. 3:8-11

8To me, less than the least of all saints, was this grace given to announce to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ as the gospel
9And to enlighten all that they may see what the economy of the mystery is, which throughout the ages has been hidden in God, who created all things,
10In order that now to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenlies the multifarious wisdom of God might be made known through the church,
11According to the eternal purpose which He made in Christ Jesus our Lord,

Eph. 4:14-15

14That we may be no longer little children tossed by waves and carried about by every wind of teaching in the sleight of men, in craftiness with a view to a system of error,
15But holding to truth in love, we may grow up into Him in all things, who is the Head, Christ,

Friday 5/11

Col. 3:1-4, 10-16

1If therefore you were raised together with Christ, seek the things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
2Set your mind on the things which are above, not on the things which are on the earth.
3For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4When Christ our life is manifested, then you also will be manifested with Him in glory.

10And have put on the new man, which is being renewed unto full knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,
11Where there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free man, but Christ is all and in all.
12Put on therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, inward parts of compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, long-suffering;
13Bearing one another and forgiving one another, if anyone should have a complaint against anyone; even as the Lord forgave you, so also should you forgive.
14And over all these things put on love, which is the uniting bond of perfectness.
15And let the peace of Christ arbitrate in your hearts, to which also you were called in one Body; and be thankful.
16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God.

Saturday 8/12

1 Cor. 12:13

13For also in one Spirit we were all baptized into one Body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and were all given to drink one Spirit.

Rev. 22:17

17And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let him who hears say, Come! And let him who is thirsty come; let him who wills take the water of life freely.

Titus 3:4-8

4But when the kindness and the love to man of our Savior God appeared,
5Not out of works in righteousness which we did but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit,
6Whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7In order that having been justified by His grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
8Faithful is the word, and concerning these things I desire you to confidently affirm, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to maintain respectable works. These things are good and profitable to men.

Hymns, #823

Lord’s Day 5/13

Col. 1:9-18

9Therefore we also, since the day we heard ofit,do not cease praying and asking on your behalf that you may be filled with the full knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
10To walk worthily of the Lord to please Him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and growing by the full knowledge of God,
11Being empowered with all power, according to the might of His glory, unto all endurance and long-suffering with joy,
12Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you for a share of the allotted portion of the saints in the light;
13Who delivered us out of the authority of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
14In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins;
15Who is the image of the invisible God, the Firstborn of all creation,
16Because in Him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or lordships or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and unto Him.
17And He is before all things, and all things cohere in Him;
18And He is the Head of the Body, the church; He is the beginning, the Firstborn from the dead, that He Himself might have the first place in all things;
