Senior Coordinator for Global Chinese Translation Group China
(GCTGC) of Five former UN translators/revisers working together, who are all native Chinese at the age above 45, and enjoy 10-25 years of translation, revision, editing and DTP experience with UN system.
Our Collective Daily Output is 15,000-20,000 words. 3000-4000 words daily for each translator, which will take 4-6 hours. We will not work all day, but enjoy both work and life, and keep well balanced life between work and recreation.
Quality Control:
First, each translator translates the first file on the trial basis. Then, each translator will bring about a glossary list for discussion. A standard glossary list will be agreed upon, which all translators will keep to. Weekly workshop will be held about any proper names, tech terms or special expressions. We all use Trados TM and Chinese TM 金山快译, which will catch misspelling or grammar mistakes automatically, keep the consistence and enhance the efficiency. All translation done will be checked and revised by another translator, in avoidance of any neglect or mistyping, which are inevitable biologically for the same single translator.
Three of my references in UN System and another two translators/revisers in UN System will make second proofreading and revision.
Senior Coordinator will be in charge of overall coordination, receiving files and submitting work done, taking the PO and sending the invoice.
