Target Audience

This program has been designed for physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, physician assistants, professional nurses, advanced practice nurses, nursing students in the medical specialties of internal medicine, medical genetics and genomics, nuclear medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, pathology, pediatrics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, radiology, and urology.

Series Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:

• Describe and define the pathophysiology and etiology of oncologic diseases
• Explain and employ new diagnostic methods for different oncologic diseases
• Formulate and prescribe a management plan for different oncologic diseases
• Access and grade prognostic information about different oncologic diseases

Physicians: The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Nurses: The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Department of Nursing Education, Innovation and Professional Development is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the PA State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
