Meeting Minutes for Thursday, 3/7/2011
Members in attendance: Harry Watts- Head Coach, Peter Slavic-Boys Commissioner, Tom Naugle-Girl’s V/Pres., Brian Glines-Boy’s V/Pres, Ann Hamer-Boy’s Secretary, Bear Davis-(for Marissa Davis At Large member), Max Hamer-At Large member, Tammy Ringiesen-Fundraiser committee

Meeting Called to order by Harry Watts at 6:00pm
Updates from Coach Watts:
- Moon Parks purchased two goal sets for park fields.
-We may need to purchase one more goal set for HS field.
-Discussion regarding lines being put down on the stadium field. (i.e.: color, removable paint, cost @ $200 for paint, etc.) Some advice given from Bear Davis.
Other Points of Discussion:
-Budget for next year to add possibly 2 HS boys teams JV and varsity, as well as possibly 2 girls teams.(plus 3 referees needed for these games). Could also add a younger developmental team for grades 3 & 4.
Information from Peter/Commissioner:
- Already looking to the upcoming season as far as budget.
Example: How much does it cost to run the season with games, referrers, medics, uniforms/equipment, cost of replacing uniforms and other equipment in future years.
-Other programs we can offer as far as summer, box, camps, etc. to move the program along, get our players more experience, as well as costs/fees to be considered for the overall budget.
-Idea to do a Moon Area Lax program book for next season to included team photos, rosters, advertisements to be sold, etc. This could bring in extra funds, as well as become a nice keepsake for families.
-Possible payment at the gate or donations collected at the gate on team stadium games, to help cover cost of referees/medics.
Night at the Races Fundraiser – info from Tammy Ringeisen
-Night at the Races was a success, with @ $2700 profit. ($4200 collect with pay out and fees $1500)
-Would like to save money next year on caller. Other less expensive callers were unavailable for our date. Need to schedule/book earlier.
-Discussion for next season, doing 1 mandatory membership fundraiser (Night at the Races or Mulch), and others for reducing membership individual dues.
-Also discussion of better scheduling next season so that fundraisers are all lined up to payment due dates.
