BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING
December 13, 2005
At 1900
Page Baldwin, Chairman, called to order the meeting of the Commissioners of the Montezuma Fire Protection District at 1900 on the above date. The meeting was held at the District Firehouse at 21 N 4th Street, Rio Vista, CA
1. ROLL CALL:
Commissioner Baldwin, Peterson, Rogala, Dana, Hansen. Also present was Fire Chief Stan Simi, Assist Chief Joe Rosewall.
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Hansen made a motion to approve the November minutes as presented to the board. Rogala seconded and the motion was passed unanimously.
3. APPROVAL OF VENDOR CLAIMS:
Rogala made a motion to approve the vendor claims as presented to the board.
Dana seconded and the motion was passed unanimously.
4. OLD BUSINESS:
A. The LAFCO / MSR report is not complete yet. Recommend fire radio system, some talk of merger. No change in revenues.
B. Lot of projects, no money, no improvements on Suisun to rio Vista yet. Increase in trucks. 20% over safety designs.
C. Response Report was given: 7 vehicle, 28 fire, 11 medical for October.
5 NEW BUSINESS
A. Stan reported on Brush 51’s accident.
B. There will be 100 more windmills added.
C. Working on a book of policies. Training – Engineers doing well.
Rogala 1st, Dana 2nd and a motion was passed to accept a book of
Policies. Email from Dan (response and discussion)
6 STAFF
A. LAFCO – MSR Report is unknown yet
B. In other Business papers were filed for Cal-OSHA review. Nothing
has been heard from Cal-OSHA yet. Audit coming for Montezuma /
Ryer. Budget 33% so far for $246,210.00 for cash fund. Comp. is
about $800.00 per firefighter.
C. Proposed agenda items were placed in closed session.
7 PUBLIC COMMENTS
A. Joe gave a fire training report.
B. State comp for Blacklock on diabetes at this time no follow up. Work
Program had money left over. Cal-Osha check and review in January.
