revenge, and comedy. However, . . .

To cite your sources properly, you need 2 parts:

1.Parenthetical References ( )

-Must be used to indicate to the reader that someone else’s words or ideas are being used, therefore avoiding plagarizing.

-You must credit your source immediately after a quotation and/or after a paraphrased idea; it includes a reference name and/or source, as well as where within the resource this information was found (usually a page number).

-Both the last name and page number are enclosed in parentheses

  1. Work(s) Cited Page

-Your “Work(s)s Cited” section should appear at the end of your paper and works should be arranged alphabetically by author (or title, if no author appears in the entry).

-List only works you actually cited. (Your teacher may also request a list of works consulted.)

-Entries should be double spaced. No extra space is required between entries.

-For further information about types of entries not listed here, consult Joseph Gibaldi’s MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers (available in the library).
