Job Purpose / To provide an effective service to the team to support them with any administration linked to work placements preparation and also during and after placement.

Principal Accountabilities /
  • Liaising with external partners and agencies regarding work placement opportunities for students in person and on the telephone.
  • Working with areas that require DBS and other tickets to be able to carry out work placement in their area of study
  • Monitoring attendance at work placements
  • Liaising with students and parents, answering queries, in person and on the telephone.
  • Provide administrative and organisational support to the Work Placement Officers.
  • Set up administration systems and processes to support student recruitment and work placements.
  • To gather, collate and report on learner documentation from induction and co-ordinate with internal teams.
  • To work as part of the Work Placement Team and contribute to the successful realisation of its targets.

Effectiveness Accountabilities /
  • Maximise the effectiveness of administrating the programmes offered to our learners.
  • Gather, collate and present information clearly and effectively, using a variety of IT packages.
  • Deploy and maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Problem solve and be solution focussed, working autonomously and proactively.

This profile covers the core accountabilities within the role; however, the postholder will be expected to undertake any other duties that may be required by the Head of Sales and Business Development

  • Understand how to deal effectively with a range of clients and customers (E)
  • Knowledge of college work placement systems (D)

Experience / .
  • Experience of providing a general administration service (E)
  • Experience of using ICT and software packages, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)(E)
  • Experience of producing letters and reports (E)
  • Experience of working in a busy, customer focused environment (E)
  • Experience in working within the Further Education sector (D)
