Hardingstone Academy PE Sports Premium Money Report 16-17

From 01st September 2013, each primary school will receive around £8,000 a year to increase PE expertise and standards in this subject area.
This additional resource is part of a three year funding project aimed to improve the quality of the provision for P.E. and sports in Primary schools. The planned expenditure for the academic year 2016-2017 will be aimed at:
·  Developing the role of sports leaders and lunch time assistants
·  Developing the playground surfaces and designs to maximise activity during playtimes and lunchtimes
·  Promote the least active children in the school
·  Developing and promoting healthy lifestyles and active travel to school

16. To promote active and healthy lifestyles during lunch/break times and outside of school. / ·  2 TAs received the Change for Life training- Free
·  TK – Developed Inside Outside KS 2 club – Free

Free opportunities utilised / ·  Least active chn to be targeted to develop healthy and active lifestyles
·  More chn taking part in healthy lifestyle clubs
·  KS1 will be exposed to healthy lifestyle clubs for the first time
·  2 more staff members will be trained and provide support for healthy living during play and lunch times
27. To develop the playground facilities and create a safer surface.
23. To develop the activities offered at a break and lunch time to all the children in the school. / ·  New designs on the playground to promote activity - Approximately £4000.00
·  Pacesetters or Gill Blenco to provide training for lunch time assistants Approximately £1000.00
·  SL to investigate Sports leaders and Crew numbers and courses to increase numbers of leaders -Free
·  Sport crew training – Approximately £50.00 / ·  Improved quality of resources and enjoyment at playtimes (see pupil voice feedback)
·  Chn choose/vote for playground design. Chn at Hardingstone Academy having an input into the planning at Hardingstone academy.
·  New designs will promote and allow chn to be active during breaks and lunchtimes
·  Training for lunchtime assistants will allow them to develop play and activity during lunchtimes, resulting in more chn being active
·  Training for sports crew and leaders will increase the number of chn leading activities during play and lunch times
18. 15/16 To provide different sporting opportunities. / ·  EWS SLA - £1900.00
·  PLT supply for SL – £200.00 (2x afternoons)
·  Coach to 40 million steps
·  Coach for Cross Country
·  Coach for EYFS festival
Approximately £700 on coaches / ·  4 children to complete supports crew training and will train 4 more leaders
·  The new crew will work with the experienced Year 6 crew at lunchtimes. The crews will deliver sporting activities every lunchtime for the KS1 chn.
19. To engage least active chn in active clubs. / ·  Top up Swimming for yr 6 pupils – approximately £80.00
·  Coach to 40 million steps –Yr 6 and Change for Life club (see coach price above) / ·  Extra support will be provided to targeted chn to develop swimming skills and safety.
·  100% of the Yr 6 chn are expected to achieve the national standard of 25m.
20. To promote healthy travel to school. / ·  Whole school participation in 40 million steps
·  Coach to 40 million steps for Yr 6 and Change for Life club (see coach price above)
·  Hardingstone Strollers x 3 days a week–Free / ·  Increased number of chn choosing walking to school via the Hardingstone Strollers scheme
·  Least active chn representing the school.
·  40 chn will participate in the 20 million step challenge, orienteering event at Salcey Forest, September 23rd 16.
21. To promote physical development in EYFS.
22. To ensure all EYFS children part take in a sporting event for the school. / ·  Health, social, personal and emotional resources purchased Approximately £700.00 / ·  New equipment will allow chn to access resources to support their social, emotional, personal and social skills.
·  Chn in the EYFS classes will have access to resources to support their health, social, personal and emotional in their everyday play. Desired outcome for EYFS is that at least 95% of chn achieving ELG Exp for PSED and PD.
25.To provide staff with CPD training in new sports. / ·  Yr 5 SB Swimming CPD –Free
·  Whole School Golf CPD – FREE – September
·  SL and GG – Introduce Real PE to the school -£200.00
·  NQT Real PE training – Steve Jones Northamptonshire sport –Free / ·  Swimming CPD for Yr 5 teacher will support her teaching confidence, aiming for all yr 5 chn to be swimming 25m by July 2017
·  A golf club will be up and running at school for the first time ever in Hardingstone Academy history
·  NQT staff members will be delivering at least good lessons and feel more confident with subject knowledge and teaching.
