  3. Gallery of Data, Assets and Challenges (Admins)
  4. Departments report out:
  5. What 2-3 assets did the department notice?
  6. What are 1-2 areas of need that we should address?

Please focus on :

  • student achievement, intervention and support
  • school climate/student engagement in school
  • make suggestions with clear, achievable, time bound and measurable outcomes
  • suggest actions at the Department level OR school wide

Afternoon is individually directed teacher work time.

  • Resist rushing to a judgment- take in the big picture and process with others.
  • Focus on what we can control and influence. (We can’t control outside factors or blame outcomes on outside factors.)
  • Recognize limitations in time and resources.
  • Focus on achievable, time bound actions that we can see/measure the outcome.
  • Process (Facilitated by Bill, Melyssa, Nancy and Elaine) (45Min) :

  • Jigsaw go through thedata gallery in pairs or threes
  • Follow the protocol questions (google form):
  • What are you seeing, noticing or wondering?
  • What do these data mean for students/studentachievement?
  • What is needed? What should we do?
  • Return to Department and discuss
  • Whatare some of our assets?
  • What are areas of need that we should address?

  • In May we will follow a similar process to create a 2-3 year plan and set a limited number of priorities
