Moen KITCHEN AND BATH INNOVATIONS SELECTED FOR

NOT SO BIG® SHOWHOUSE

Products Enhance Showhouse Designed by

Architect and “Not So Big House” Author Sarah Susanka

North Olmsted, Ohio…Moen Incorporated, the number one faucet brand in North America, announces its role in the Not So Big® Showhouse. Located in the SchoolStreet community just outside of Chicago, the Showhouse was designed by Sarah Susanka, Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA), acclaimed architect and bestselling author of The Not So Big House series. The house features hallmarks of Susanka’s Not So Big design, including quality, character, comfort, beauty, energy efficiency and sustainability – within a smaller space. The Not So Big Showhouse, which incorporates Moen® kitchen and bath products, makes its public debut on November 19, 2011.

“In today’s new economic reality, Not So Big principles offer a new vision for the home of the future – not too big and not too small, but just right for this budget-conscious, sustainability-minded era,” said Susanka. “Gone are the unused formal spaces – the remaining spaces are tailored to fit today’s more informal lifestyles. In short, the Showhouse is designed for the way people really live, with design and details that transform a house into a home.”

“This is the first time that Sarah Susanka has agreed to design a house for a venture such as SchoolStreet; so naturally, we’ve been selective about choosing quality products and services for the house,” said John McLinden, developer of SchoolStreet Homes. “The Showhouse features all the outstanding elements of Not So Big design, plus innovative products. Moen is helping us to enhance the custom design experience by providing new technologies for the home that incorporate reliability, durability and consumer-driven innovation.”

Products selected by Susanka for the Not So Big Showhouse include Moen’s ioDIGITAL®vertical spa, which offers the ultimate blend of technology and indulgence, with precise temperature and flow control, four custom presets and one-touch activation of multiple water spray outlets. The user can choose his or her settings with a showerhead, body spray, handshower or rainshower… or choose them all. Other Moen products in the house include the Lancelot Professional® undermount sink, paired with Moen’s Ascent® kitchen faucet with Reflex™ technology, which offers a noticeably smooth, user-friendly pulldown faucet experience. The showhouse also incorporates Moen’s Eva® and 90°™ Eco-Performance lavatory faucets. Both faucets are certified to meet WaterSense® criteria, offering a water savings of up to 32 percent, without sacrificing performance.

“Moen is committed to providing thoughtfully designed products that enhance users’ experience in the kitchen and bath,” said Ryan Groff, target market manager, Moen Incorporated. “We’re thrilled to be a part of a showhouse that carefully considers today’s homeowners, and incorporates products tailor-made for the way they live.”

SchoolStreet is located in the village of Libertyville, Ill., approximately 30 miles north of downtown Chicago. The community includes 26 single-family houses and 15 urban-style lofts. The Not So Big Showhouse will be open to the public for 6 months following its November debut.

The Not So Big Showhouse is approximately 2,450 square feet. Floor plans, images and perspective drawings are available online at
